Speech test
Read each radio call aloud, the way you would on the radio. Every recording goes to Gemini three ways, so we can compare:
- Plain:
gemini-3.5-transcribe, no help. - Word list: the same model, given aviation words, place names and the callsign to expect.
- Listen: a general Gemini Flash model (
gemini-3.5-flash, or a newer one when that is busy), asked to write down exactly what it hears, including “niner”, “tree” and “fife”.
The score compares the words, not the spelling: “9”, “nine” and “niner” count as the same word. Whether the ICAO forms (niner, tree, fife) survive is shown separately.
Stays in this browser only.
Needed to record. Headset or phone held close works best.
Sent to the transcription model.
